Dave Werner is an Executive Vice President and Market President of Southeast Wisconsin for First Midwest Bank. In this role, Dave is responsible for developing and executing on the bank’s strategic business initiatives in Southeast Wisconsin, as well as leading its commercial banking, treasury management, retail banking, private banking and wealth management products and services.

Dave has more than 30 years of experience in banking management, operations and commercial lending and financing for small and medium-sized businesses. Prior to his current role, Dave was the President & CEO of Park Bank, which was acquired by First Midwest in March 2020. Dave joined Park Bank in 1989 as a commercial banker and progressively held several leadership positions over the course of his tenure.

Dave takes an active role in several civic and charitable organizations. He is currently Chairman of the Board of the Children’s Wisconsin Foundation and also serves on the boards of Children’s Wisconsin, Wisconsin Bankers Association and the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC). He also sits on the MMAC’s Council of Small Business Executives and is a member of the Greater Milwaukee Committee.

Dave earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He is a graduate of the Central States Graduate School of Banking.
