Consumer Debit and ATM Card Information

  • You can continue to use your Standard Bank Debit/ATM card with no change to your PIN.
  • We will issue a new First Midwest Bank Debit/ATM Card that will work as of February 6, 2017, or you can use your Standard Card until May 17, 2017.
  • If you have any bills being paid automatically via your Standard Bank Debit or ATM Card, please notify the biller or merchant of your new card number and expiration date.

Receiving your First Midwest Bank Debit or ATM Card

  • Prior to February 6, 2016, you will receive a new First Midwest Bank Debit or ATM Card with a new card number to replace your Standard Bank Debit or ATM Card.
  • Your current Standard Bank Debit or ATM Card will continue to function before, during, and after the transition to First Midwest Bank for a period of 100 days.
  • We strongly encourage you to begin using your new First Midwest Bank Debit or ATM Card beginning on the Effective Date. After that date, you will have approximately 100 days from the Effective Date to activate and begin using your new First Midwest Bank Debit or ATM Card.

Activating your First Midwest Bank Debit or ATM Card

  • You will receive a separate mailing with your card's new PIN. Use this new PIN to activate and begin using your new First Midwest Bank Debit or ATM Card on Febraury 6, 2017. Activation instructions will be included with your new card. 
  • After you activate your new First Midwest Bank Debit or ATM Card, your Standard Bank Debit or ATM Card will be closed within 30 to 45 days. Once you have confirmed your new First Midwest Bank Debit or ATM Card is working properly, then destroy your Standard Bank Debit or ATM Card to avoid any unauthorized transactions.

Using your First Midwest Bank Debit or ATM Card

  • On February 6, 2017, free ATM options will be enhanced to include access to First Midwest Bank's network of over 100 ATMs – plus over 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs worldwide in the Allpoint™ network. ATM and Healthcare Banking Cards are not eligible for free Allpoint access. At this same time, Standard Bank Debit or ATM Cards will no longer have free access to Jeanie ATMs.
  • If you continue to use your Standard Bank Debit Card, the surcharge-free Allpoint network will become available two days after February 6, 2017.
  • If you have debit card transactions that have not cleared your account by the time of the transition to First Midwest, your balance in First Midwest Bank's Online and ATM systems may be higher than what is actually available in your account(s). This will correct itself over the first few days following the completion of the transition.
  • If you have any bills being paid automatically via your Standard Bank Debit or ATM Card, please notify the biller or merchant of your new card number and expiration date.
