Do I have to use Online Banking to use Mobile Banking?

Yes. For your security, you have to enroll your mobile device and activate Mobile Banking within the "Mobile Banking Center" in Online Banking. It's a simple process – after completing a few easy steps, we'll be on the go with you, whenever you need us.

Enroll your device:

  • Enter your cell phone number
  • Select your cell phone service provider
  • Agree to the terms and conditions and click Continue

We'll send a text message to the cell number you entered that confirms your enrollment. Simply respond to that text message with the activation code that is presented to you within Online Banking. We'll then send you the link to our mobile web solution.

Once enrolled, you can update your settings at any time within the "Mobile Banking Center" in Online Banking.

Can I text a code to you and get my balance?

Yes, with Mobile Banking, you can text a variety of codes to 79680 to get your balance, transaction history, and much more.

For your security, you have to enroll your mobile device and activate Text Banking1 within the "Mobile Banking Center" in Online Banking. Once activated, you can use the following codes:

  • B = summary of balances for all available accounts
  • H = summary of recent transactions for all available accounts
  • L = get a link to log in to Mobile Banking
  • S = disable Text Banking
  • R = reactivate Text Banking
  • HE = get a link to Text Banking help

Which First Midwest website should I use? has gone mobile!When you go to, our website will detect the device you're using – iPhone, iPad, Android, desktop computer, etc. – so you don't have to worry about it. You can choose to view our full site when presented with our mobile site, and once on our full site, you can navigate back to the mobile site. Of course, if you're using a desktop or laptop computer, our full site will be presented to you.
