Patrick (Pat) Barrett is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First Midwest Bancorp, Inc. where he is responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, tax and corporate treasury. He also is principally responsible for the company’s capital management and related regulatory compliance and stress testing, investor relations, strategic planning and procurement initiatives.

Pat has a broad and diversified career in the financial services industry, with more than 26 years of experience in public accounting and senior finance roles at several national and regional banks. Prior to joining First Midwest in 2017, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Fulton Financial Corporation, a multi-bank financial holding company with more than $20.7 billion in assets. He also held senior management positions in Finance at SunTrust Bank and JPMorgan Chase and was formerly an audit partner with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

Pat graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor’s degree in both Accounting and Finance. He also holds professional certifications as a U.S. Certified Public Accountant and U.S. Certified Internal Auditor.
