When the daily balance is within a specified tier range, a disclosed interest rate will be paid on the entire balance in the account. As of December 17, balances between $0 and $2,499 earn 0.50% Annual Percentage Yield (APY); balances between $2,500 and $24,999 earn 0.60% APY; balances between $25,000 and $249,999 earn 2.50% APY; and balances of $250,000 or greater earn 1.25% APY. APYs effective for 100 days from the business date of account opening. After the first 100 days, the balance tiers and APYs will change to the Money Market Plus tiers and APYs in effect at that time. Interest begins to accrue no later than the business day we receive credit for the deposit of non-cash items (for example, checks). This means that interest accrues on the collected balance. Rates are variable and can change at any time. Interest is compounded and credited monthly. Minimum balance to open the account and earn the APY is $25,000. Minimum balance of $2,500 must be maintained to avoid the $25 monthly maintenance fee. Offer open to individuals only, including IRA rollovers, available on money deposited from another institution (not on deposit with First Midwest within the last 90 days), and for residents of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin only. Offer may be withdrawn at any time, without notice, and is not subject to other rate premiums or enhancements. Fees may reduce account earnings. No brokered deposits. Existing First Midwest clients are encouraged to participate provided that the initial $25,000 deposit was not on deposit with First Midwest within the last 90 days.
