The Food & Agribusiness Group at First Midwest Bank is another example of the Bank's strong commitment to agriculture which goes back over 70 years. Dave Nelson brings a wealth of knowledge to the group with over 20 years experience working with clients in the industry. Dave enjoys working closely with his clients to help them achieve their financial goals, both short term and long term.
Dave was born and raised in Elmhurst, IL and still lives there today with his wife and family. He went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received his undergraduate degree in Finance. Dave first became involved in the Food & Agribusiness industry when he started a Food & Agribusiness group for a large European financial institution 20+ years ago. He subsequently joined Rabobank International where he was a Managing Director and the Chicago Office Manager, responsible for the bank’s business activities in the Midwest.
Dave stays active in his community, serving as a mentor for Elmhurst College students, and supporting the District 205 school district's music, sports and academic programs. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Minneapolis Grain Exchange for several years.
